One Harrisburg man is dead, and another is in serious condition following a crash in rural Boone County early Saturday morning.
According to a report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Corry M. Crowley, 27, was killed, and David L. Williams, 29, sustained serious injuries after both were ejected from a 2007 GMC Sierra pickup shortly after midnight on Saturday morning. The one-vehicle accident occurred along North State Route J near Drane Road. The passenger side tires of the truck, driven by Williams, left the right side of the roadway. Williams then overcorrected, and the truck went off the left side of the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned, ejecting both men.
Crowley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Williams was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. He was later placed under arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Neither man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the patrol.
