The rain didn’t hamper the cheer of Christmas revelers during a wet parade during the Fayette Festival of Lights on Saturday.
Downtown Fayette was jam packed. Retail stores reported strong sales and restaurants were overflowing.
The festival was presented by Fayette Main Street, Inc.
Events such as the Holiday Homes Tour, the parade, and the lighting of the magic tree drew people from all around Mid-Missouri.
Right: Santa Claus took a break from listening to children’s Christmas wishes to take a soggy ride around the square. The man in red then flipped the switch, turning on the magic tree and declaring Christmas season open in Fayette.
