The Fayette Pride Band gave another outstanding performance at Saturday’s Central Methodist University Band Day. The Falcons won both the Class 2 parade and field competitions, earned outstanding field auxiliary and field percussion honors, and took third place in the indoor color guard contest.
The Glasgow band won the Class 1 parade competition and finished second in the field competition while earning the honor for outstanding field percussion.
The Yellowjacket indoor drumline also finished third among Class 1 bands.
New Franklin finished fifth overall in the parade competition.
Nearby Salisbury won the People’s Choice Award for Class 2.
Macon won the Band Day Sweepstakes, which is awarded to the band with the highest combined score in parade and field competition.
