With the holiday season in full swing, many local parishioners are wondering where they can attend Christmas worship services this season.
The following is a list of churches that have announced Christmas plans to the Advertiser.
First Christian Church
Regular 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 24. Christmas Eve candlelight service, including communion, 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 24.
Annual Community Christmas meal, 4 to 6 p.m. Open to all. Dine-in, carry out, delivery.
Delivery arrangements in advance, contact Tony Cook at tonydeancook@gmail.com. To arrange delivery on Christmas Day, call or text Mr. Cook at (573) 864-7539.
Meal is free, donations accepted.
St. Joseph Catholic Church
Christmas Day Mass at 8 a.m.
First Baptist Church
Normal service on Sunday, Dec. 24, 10:45 a.m.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Glasgow
Christmas Eve Mass at 5 p.m., Mass at Midnight, and Christmas Mass at 10 a.m.
Linn Memorial
Christmas Eve service at at 10:30 a.m.
Christmas Day Breakfast Worship - bring your favorite breakfast item to share and eat as you worship with nontraditional, conversational sermon. “This is very similar to what Christ did with his people,” said Pastor Bill O’Neal.
Candlelight Service with Communion at 7 p.m. All are welcome, no matter their beliefs or lifestyles. Everyone is allowed to take Communion.
All money received from our Special Christmas Eve offering will go to the Fayette Ministerial Alliance food pantry.
St. Paul UMC
Christmas Eve Service on Sunday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m.
Faith Family Church
Christmas Eve: “Carols & Candles” Christmas Eve Service, 7 p.m.
Sunday, Christmas, and New Year’s: One service each at 10 a.m. on Dec. 24, and Dec. 31.
Grace Fellowship
Christmas Service at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 24. No Christmas Eve services. All are invited.
Moniteau Chapel
