Stanley Eugene Webster, 95, of New Franklin, passed away October 27, 2020 at The Neighborhoods in Columbia.
Stanley was born in Gravois Mills, MO on October 2, 1925 a son of Clyde and Mable Metcalf Webster. He married Judith Woods on February 3, 1951 on Boonville, MO and she preceded him in death. Stanley served his nation during World War II in the US Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre 7th Division including the Philippines, Okinawa and Korea. His occupation was an Operating Engineer 513.
Stanley was a 50 year member of the Operating Engineers Local in the Bridgeton/St. Louis area and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family during his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Webster (Robin) of Holts Summit, MO and Rodney Webster (Sandy) of Boonville; a sister, Mary Carmichael (Bob) of New Franklin; four grandchildren, Luke Webster (Dawn), Shelle Steinmetz (Kevin), Nick Sandbothe (Holly) and Nate Sandbothe (Tresssie); great-grandchildren, Crawford and Gatlin Webster, Kenadie and Bostyn Steinmetz, Aubrielle Sandbothe, Zach, Ryan and Austin Sandbothe.
In addition to his parents and wife, Stanley was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sandbothe and a son, Bruce Webster and by two brothers, Jim and Jewell Webster.
Funeral services honoring Stanley’s life will be held at Markland-Yager Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 31, 2020. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. To those attending the family asks that for everyone’s safety that social distancing be observed and to wear a face covering.
Burial with military honors will be at Boonesboro Cemetery.
