Raymond Maupin, 76, of Franklin, MO passed away at HST Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO on December 26, 2020. 

Raymond Edward Maupin, Sr. was born January 30, 1944, in Franklin, MO, a son to the late Arthur Lee and Nellie Maude (Jackson) Maupin. Raymond attended school in New Franklin and earned his GED through his enlistment in the U.S. Army. He was drafted in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1968. On September 29, 1964, Raymond married the love of his life, Linda John in Boonville, MO. Together they’ve enjoyed over 56 years of marriage. Raymond was self-employed his entire career, working numerous construction jobs and tending to his farm and livestock. He enjoyed fishing and riding horses. Raymond was one of the original members of the Boonslick Saddle Club, which he helped start 42 years ago. Raymond’s greatest love of all was his family. He loved spending time with his family and held a special bond with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife of the home, Linda Maupin; three sons, Raymond (Shelly) Maupin, Jr. of Columbia, MO, Matt (Lisa) Maupin of Franklin, MO and Josh Maupin of Boonville, MO; four grandchildren, Bryana (Dennis) Larimer, Blaine Maupin, Madison Maupin and Abby Maupin; great-grandson, Logan Raymond Larimer; two sisters, Norma (Howard) Robertson of Franklin, MO and Darlene Wilkerson of New Franklin, MO; and a brother, Jim (Barbara) Maupin of Franklin, MO. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Maupin, Charles Dobson and Roger Maupin. 

A funeral honoring the life of Mr. Maupin will be 11 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Boonesboro Christian Church in Franklin, MO with Revs. Ross Mutrux and Roger McMurry officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at Boonesboro Cemetery. Facemasks are required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
