The 2020 Christmas Holiday House will likely implement a few changes this year so as to follow guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Holiday House committee members are mulling adjustments in preparing for the event. Considerations are being made with regard to social distancing, face mask requirements, limits to number of people in the building at one time, and sanitization issues among others.
Because of these concerns and uncertainties, dates for registration and distribution of gifts are not yet determined. Information will be made available when details are finalized.
Traditionally, area churches and civic organizations have been approached for donations to support the Christmas Holiday House project. However, in 2020, many local organizations have not been meeting on a regular basis. The committee reminds individuals, church groups, and civic organizations to consider the donations of money or gifts in the next few weeks to facilitate the event, whenever and however it will take place.
Cash donations and gifts (new toys, puzzles, games, art supplies, etc.) may be sent to treasurer, Pat Hilgedick, 105 Givens Road, Fayette MO 65248. For further information, contact Pat Hilgedick at (660) 248-3172 or Beverly Markland at (660) 248-2491.
