Jerry Adams, Jr., 60, of Armstrong, passed away at his home on February 3, 2024.
Jerry was born on December 31, 1963, in Fayette, a son of Jerry Adams, Sr. and Carolyn Polson. He served his nation in the US Army Infantry, entering in 1982 and was discharged in 1986 with the rank of Sgt. E-5. Jerry was a self-employed logger and served on the Howard County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved archery and working on others’ bows and arrows. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Adams; son, Anthony Adams; daughter, Tedra Barney; brothers, Robbie Adams, Billy Polson, Todd Polson, and Dougie Polson; sisters, Tammy Adams, Jackie Adams Forsee and Scarlett Adams; grandchildren, Dalton Barney, Londyn Barney, Emily Adams, Jayleigh Barney, Levi Barney, Braxton Adams, Audrey Dobson, Benjamin Dale, Maddison Dale, Braden Dale, and River Welch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Derek Barney.
Funeral services honoring Jerry will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette. Interment with military honors will follow at the Fayette City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help with his service.
