Jeffrey Shirley, 57, passed away March 29, 2021, in Fort Myers, Forida.
Jeffrey John Shirley was born November 13, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert and Lucille (Thomas) Shirley. Jeffrey grew up and was raised in Fayette, Missouri. He graduated in 1982 from Fayette High School. Jeffrey was an accomplished athlete and excelled in football and baseball. He once pitched a perfect game in the Babe Ruth League. He worked at O’Brian’s MFA and helped his father working on Volkswagen automobiles. He later received an Audio Engineer Degree in the state of California. Jeffrey then started his own company, Jay Co. Productions, where he produced a platinum album for Mo Thugs. Jeffrey had a true passion for music and loved being a producer. He also loved being near the ocean.
He is survived by his sister, Debbie Nation of Fayette; two nieces, Denise Hall and Dana Dodson, and a nephew, Danny Nation, all of Fayette. He is also survived by eight great-nephews. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service honoring Jeffrey’s life will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service starting at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
