A Glasgow woman charged with murder in the hit-and-run death of a Centralia woman now faces an additional charge of counterfeiting, a Class E felony.
Amy Renee Rievley, 36, is currently being held in the Boone County Jail. She is accused of killing 74-year-old Sharon Uebinger of Centralia in a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday, June 16. She was originally charged with driving while intoxicated causing serious injury, a Class D felony, and leaving the scene of an accident, a Class E felony. Prosecutors later added a charge of second-degree murder, a Class A felony, after Uebinger died as a result of her injuries.
Now Rievley faces a counterfeiting charge after a roll of fake $100 bills was allegedly found in her vehicle by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
None of the 29 bills found had the correct texture for U.S. currency, according to Cpl. Richerson of the patrol. The bills all had an Asian language red stamp on each side, did not contain the appropriate security strip and all had the same serial numbers.
A Howard County warrant was issued for Rievely’s arrest with a bond of $5,000.
