Fayette Reads Together

Discussion of ‘Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents’ Aug. 26

Posted

The community is invited to join Fayette Together board directors Rev. Susan McCollegan and Rev. Lue Lockridge-Lane for the next meeting of Fayette Reads Together at noon on Saturday, August 26, at St. Paul United Methodist Church (300 E. Davis Street).

This will be a time of discussion and reflections on the unspoken caste system that helped shaped our country and how our lives today are still defined by hierarchy divisions.

The conversation will be guided by the book, “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents,” written by Isabel Wilkerson.

Attendees are welcome to bring lunches and dine during the discussions.  Copies of the book may also be  available at the Howard County Public Library. All are welcome.
