Luke Gray and Shannon Peters were crowned King and Queen of Central Methodist University’s 2020 Homecoming on Saturday. The coronation came during halftime of the Eagles’ football game. Wade Spilman and Madison Crook were named Homecoming Prince and Princess.
Gray is a senior Sports Management major from Fulton. Peters is a senior from Waverly, Mo., majoring in Biology.
Spilman is a junior nursing major from Higbee. Crook is a sophomore from Siloam Springs, Ark. who is majoring in Psychology.
This year marked the 100th anniversary of the first Central Methodist Homecoming. Celebrations were held mostly online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Eagles went on to defeat William Penn 14-12 in the gridiron Saturday. A full account of the football game appears on Page 7 of this newspaper.
