BTC Bank donates $5k for FHS game livestreams

BTC Bank in Fayette pledged an ongoing donation in the amount of $5,000 to help the Fayette Athletic Boosters purchase a subscription to the sports application HUDL for the purpose of live-streaming high school activities and sporting events on the internet. This donation is the first in a three-year commitment made by the Fayette branch.

The Fayette Athletic Boosters, along with the school district, will combine to fund the remaining $4,000 needed for the subscription, which runs $9,000 annually.

In recent years, the district had one camera in the high school gym. The donation allows for the purchase of a camera for games played at Thomas S. Davis Memorial Football field. Softball and baseball games are expected to be live-streamed in the future. Games will stream on YouTube.

HUDL is an application that has become one of the most popular tools for high school coaches and players in football, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, and ice hockey. It was launched in 2012 by Agile Sports Technologies, Inc., a privately-owned company in Lincoln, Nebraska.
